New Canadian Plan!

After biking 3000km Vancouver to Mexico in 20 days, and starting to hike back along the Pacific Crest Trail, a sad little blister turned into a big angry blister and sent me hopping back to Canada. After a bit of time to recover, I have a new plan! To do a very Canadian bike ride! See more details of the rough plan here. Essentially it's a more adventurous, less planned, potentially around 13000km bike ride. Route is approximately North to the Yukon, maybe to the Northwest Territories, south through the Rockies, and then east through the prairies home to at least Ontario, hopefully farther before the fall weather turns and real life returns.

If you or anyone you know (parents, long lost chill hommies, etc.) live anywhere along my rough bike route and would consider entertaining a smelly, exhausted biker for an evening, pleaseeeee put us in touch! If you want to follow along the journey, go for it @probablyoutsidejulie on instagram, or get emails when I update my blog by clicking this text. You can see where I am (if I can keep my battery charged) on strava or inReach. Also, thanks to everyone who has helped me strategize gear, joined me for fun outside aka training, fixed my bike, given me encouragement or opened their or their friends and family's houses to me! I'm also stoked to be representing Sweaty Yeti - a group of people driven to enjoy the mountains and outdoors through human-powered endurance activity, Nuun tabs - the most amazing electrolyte source you will ever meet, and Outdoor Explore - a website adventure project to help make planning trips easier and get people inspired to get outside.
